DOCKETING CLERK

The docketing clerk provides support to Legal Assistants and Attorneys by reviewing and entering incoming and outgoing correspondence into our docketing system. The docketing clerk must learn details of patent and trademark procedures (U.S. and international) and be able to navigate docket management software. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience.

Required:

  • Excellent computer skills including Word and Excel
  • Excellent data entry skills
  • Willingness to occasionally work on weekends as needed
  • Desire to stay in Gainesville for at least the next 5 years
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with attorneys, and staff
  • Stamina to work all day under pressure

OFFICE ASSISTANT

Must have excellent computer proficiency including skill with word processing programs. Office Assistants provide support to the Legal Assistants to enhance attorney effectiveness by providing information-management support; producing information; assisting in maintaining attorney’s docket; transcribe, format, input, edit, retrieve, copy and transmit text, data, and graphics; assist with case preparation; follow-up on delegated assignments. Successful Office Assistants work accurately and efficiently and demonstrate good proofreading skills. Compensation is commensurate with qualifications, skills, and experience.
